taken at Turriff show. the ridden clydesdale class is a fairly recent addition to the showing classes, a great big clydesdale seems to be the cool new thing to be seen sat upon around the show grounds.

thanks! I'm off to another local horseshow this weekend (just spectating, my mum's two lovely young fillies aren't ready for it quite yet), so I'll see what I can capture this time!

I agree, saddle pads just look right. When I used to ride, I liked a horse with a BIG BUTT! I rode a Morgan Percheron cross. Not much for speed, but lots of power.

He certainly is a beautey, but I don't see a saddlepad under that woman's saddle... >>;
Good shot though. :D

Oh yeah I guess not, I hadn't noticed. Some folk don't use them for showing cos it looks smarter.

Huh, I wonder if it's like that affinity people have on sale sites to type in all caps; but all it makes me think at first glance is that they're a flaming moron. XD

lol I agree. I think the white saddlepad looks nice under the black saddle especially on a darker horse.

a friend once told me they go sans saddlepad in some classes/shows to show how well the saddle fits the horse. Gorgeous horse

and...oddly enough...the ridden clydesdale class was the one he was speaking of it occurring in (just read the blurb under the photo)
